Time use of women and men
The index is used to assess gender inequality in time use, measuring the distribution of care responsibilities between men and women, i.e. how much time is spent on caring for children, the elderly and the disabled, paying attention also on the time spent on cooking and housework. In addition, time spent on social activities is measured, i.e. taking part in sports, cultural and leisure activities outside home and voluntary and charitable activities.

In the Estonian National Strategy on Sustainable Development, green leaves show that the indicator value is improving or exceeds the latest available European Union average value.
